Sad, looking for something better and more secure.ģ stars: Down 2 stars due to the move to disable SMS functionality - forcing me to use 2 different apps to do 1 job. It used to be awesome, but slowly it has turned into a useless pos, it doesn't sent to to some friends, it sends hours and sometimes days late, just 5 minutes ago it sent no less than 30 repeat messages from 3 people from as little as a few hours ago, to as long as 30 hours ago. they need to go back to the drawing board and make it more like or better than most other chats.Ĥ stars: With sms being deleted, I am not sure this app is of any use anymore. So I gave it a 4 star for practicality, not for ease of use.

Signal - Private Messenger on the App Store This app is available only on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. I still can't add friends! Not very user friendly and it has too much guess work. It's a great service!Ĥ stars: Great backup app! But a pain to use bcs it's not all clear how to get contacts. I use signal for any messages I want to keep secure. I also learned how to forward messages in Signal which I appreciate.
Google messages will not transfer pictures in the text so those were lost. It does involve backing them up and manually setting them up to restore in the new phone but at least I get to keep them. 5 stars: I love that I can transfer my texts plus the pictures within them when moving to a new phone.
